Reading the Lott report, I see nothing about misdemeanors and felonies in general. I see figures analyzing crimes involving a gun.

If I am correct, may I suggest that police officers are more likely to employ a gun to begin with than the LTCF holders who "are reluctant to use the guns in a wrong way because they have a lot to lose if they do something wrong"? Looks like a formula for skewing numbers to me. Police officers making nanosecond decisions while others avoid any action.

There is an old saying in police work. The guy who gets into trouble is usually the guy who was trying to do something.

On January 11, 2017, Breitbart News reported a Pew Research Center survey showing that rank-and-file police officers support protecting citizens’ gun rights over passing more gun control by a margin of 3-to-1. And on July 15, 2016, Breitbart News reported that the Annual National Survey of Police Chiefs showed that 76 percent of chiefs believed armed citizens reduce crime.

Moreover, the survey showed “nearly 87 percent” of police chiefs support national reciprocity of concealed carry permits.

My opinion (and we all know about opinions....) a higher % of LEOs support civilian concealed carry than a higher percentage of civilians. But never let any facts get in the way of a good post.

As someone who has spent a little time as an LEO, I'll tell you - the majority of LEOs; both rank and file and admin, do support concealed carry for us.
Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

How about when a cop says you're not under arrest , but he's gonna pat you down and check for weapons for HIS SAFETY.

Both are bullshit. "You look like you might be guilty of something, come here! Show me your papers." DUI and wild game roadblocks are the same thing. If i don't match the description of somebody who committed a crime go fuck yourself. All of the "greater good" is nonsense.

    Thats a valid concern.
However, rights are rights and career choice is irrelevant.

Yep. I have no problem with police officers carrying while off duty or retired, same as I have no problem with soldiers, firemen, teachers, accountants, athletes, lawmakers, astronauts, and anyone else who's an American citizen doing the same thing.

I'm a prick that pisses off a lot of people. There are plenty of jobs that involve pissing people off on a daily basis.

And does this guy think thugs and drug dealers worry about a license to carry?
