Question Philly Gun Permit Office Closed

So my buddy's LTCF is about to expire and he just found out the Philly Gun Permit unit is closing for about a month to relocate to a shittier part of the city to help deter law abiding citizens from getting their LTCF, but I digress.

My question to the group is can he go somewhere outside the city to get his LTCF renewed? Or is he screwed until the office reopens?

If he's a resident of the city, then that's where he's got to go. They're the only game in town for him.

Haha!.....I thought the move to that area was rather odd but I'm sure they have their reasons.I doubt it has very much to do with what you said as that would have a negative effect on the money that the city pulls in through permit fees.

Is this rule statewide or just another Philly thing?

Statewide -- you have to apply in your county of residence.

But when your county office is closed or unable to issue in a reasonable period of time???
Where was it, Wyoming? Where the "Printer" didn't work for months!!

I can definitely imagine Philadelphia moving the office to a high crime rate area to deter citizens.. they don't get that much money issuing LTCF permits

Apparently you guys pay too much attention to the news. While the homicide rate is climbing (most of the suspects and victims are in the game), most of the violent crime is confined to certain sections of the city. There are many areas that rarely have a homicide and are rather nice.
