Went shooting today, and after cleaning I decided to try my hand at porn. I'm sure it won't take long for somebody to notice, so I'll go ahead and point out that the emblem on my ALS grips popped off while shooting today, so that's awesome.

Very nice. Send Pachmayr an e-mail about the grips. They will send you a new set of medallions at no charge. The new medallions are one piece so you don't have to worry about them falling apart. You'll need to re-use the screws from the old set though.

The very first thing I noticed is that your AR safety is set on "FIRE", and you aren't shooting it.

Ok, question on that. Do people leave their AR's cocked with the safety on when empty? Doesn't make sense to me, and you can't engage the safety without charging the rifle.

Ok, question on that. Do people leave their AR's cocked with the safety on when empty? Doesn't make sense to me, and you can't engage the safety without charging the rifle.

Im gonna have to agree here. I don't leave mine cocked with the safety on.
Why put extra tension on the trigger/hammer springs unecessarily? I don't leave mine around with a full mag in it though, but no way to tell that from a picture either.
