Horror Freight is in the same category as Dorman's auto parts. Very, very rarely and either an emergency or something that doesn't matter anyway.

So far, nothing I have purchased from Harbor Freight has failed or disappointed me. Things like a motorcycle lift (the small roll-under model), wrenches, electronic digital calipers that are and remain accurate. But I am a casual DIY, not a professional reaching for particular tools day in and day out. I have found that their white metal air fittings don't match up with the brass ones.

The only thing I've had go bad from HF was an 18v cordless drill that I paid about $15 for...battery would not hold a charge. A new batter would probably wake it back up, replaced with a Porter Cable that blows it away so it's a dust collector.

I have plenty of other power tools that plug in that are workhorses from HF.

Sorry to hear that some people are having problems with HF steel ammo cans. Other than being made in china and $3.00 more than used USGI cans, I haven't found them problematic. YMMV. tom.

I have tons of stuff from "China Freight",
for what you pay, it's fine.
My old compressor lasted 12 YEARS.
Hand tools, power tools, air tools, not much of a problem.
Are they good tools, NO, are they good enough tools, yes.
