Even if they are not the action was unwarranted and excessive the corrections officer was never in harms way and in no way threatened . In fact he was the one who was being threatening and should have been arrested immediately upon review of the video.

Jeez, I think I would have sped out of there ASAP instead of getting in a gun fight. But yeah I hope the guy who pulled the gun gets convicted and does some time. Gives law abiding carriers a bad name.

No permit required to carry in Alaska.
The corrections officer can see the GoPro camera pointing at him filming the entire event.
He could have been gunned down in self defense, and the shooter would have had a better than even chance of winning in court.
The corrections officer is a fucking moron.
The only way I can see the issue changing is if the ATV riders were trespassing on a private road, possibly repeatedly in an ongoing series of events.

First mistake: allowing unknown/unidentified person to approah
Second mistake: not getting the hell out of there sooner.

That corrections officer is quite lucky he didn't mess with the wrong person. I doubt that would have gone too well for him in pa.

I'm somewhat surprised it went as well as it did. Especially in a state where people are often - quite literally - loaded for bear...

That's fucked up! I wouldn't agree but at least I could understand if they charged them both and let the courts figure it out. The fact that they charged Walker and not Braeuer makes zero sense unless this is some form of professional courtesy.

The list of charges against Braeuer could be and should be lengthy!

Seems to me the guy wasn't in the right mindset. I don't think the atv rider was carrying. Im willing to bet he is now
