    Default 9x25 Dillon ???

Anyone ever use this ? Still have a gun chambered for it ? 1700 FPS for a 125gr 9mm is pretty impressive. This is everything the 357 Sig should have been. I was thinking of picking up a Lone Wolf barrel for my G20. Already have donor 10mm brass. Just looking for some real world use.

Only Dillon that I seen. Older wildcat cartridge for competition shooters. Have also read of people using 10mm dies and 357 sig dies to accomish loading. A 90grain projectile hits over 2k FPS.

Doubletap and Underwood both still make ammo.

The muzzle blast and flash will be impressive ! Only reason that ctg. Was developed was to maximize the effectiveness of the compensators in their race guns , least that's what they stated in the blue press way back then . Their theory was the more gas they could divert upwards outa the comp(less muzzle rise) the faster back on target . They succeeded in that but it just never caught on for general shooting . Reminded me of the the old wildcat 44/.357 , 44 mag necked to .357 Again good at what it did besting the .357 mag by a good margin but limited in use .

I actually considered doing a conversion on my g20 but there was nothing the 9x25 could do that my 10mm couldnt do. Underwood is pushing their 115gr 10mm bullets at 1700fps and their 135gr at 1600fps. If that extra 10gr of bullet weight for the 1700fps mark is worth all the cost, then go for it.

If it's not worth the cost, I would gladly take your 10mm donor brass from you though since I am in need

I would say that sectional density is a good reason to go with a .356 diameter bullet that fast. If you enjoy shooting metal things, a .400 dia bullet of the same grain weight would have to be pushed about 6% faster to punch through the same thickness of metal plate.

Why do people shoot metal plates? It's freaking fun to make holes, man! Big bulges don't count.

Well I bought a barrel and the Underwood ammo arrived today. Maybe I make it to the range Sunday. If not next Friday. Will report back after the range trip.

Load up some fairly stout 90gr jacketed loads. A hoot to shoot on steel popper targets. They go down fast.
