Indiana County Jury Duty
Received my summons in the mail this morning. Not being a hubbub of activity, our court isn't overrun with cases concerning murderers, rapists and thieves. Took them close to twenty years for my name to pop up.
I consider myself fortunate. Not only do I get FREE parking at the municipal parking garage one block from the court house, but I also get paid mileage for 23.6 miles (one way) and I get paid a whole Nine Dollars Per Day for showing up.
Oh, the letter advises me not to bring a cellphone into the court house, and shorts are not allowed.
So, I'll check in my sidearm at the court house entrance (piece of cake, really, no big deal there) and see what develops.

FWIW, last time I got summoned the letter advised I was NOT to bring a firearm. That was 3-4 years ago in Montco. I ignored the statement and went to the Court House and followed the usual rules and had no issue at all. YMMV

Indiana County rates No. 18 (out of 67) at 22.8% adult population with LTCFs. Their summons said bupkis about handguns.
