Default Going to Colorado tomorrow...CCW anything I should know?

We're visiting some friends for about 4 days in Colorado and I will bring my firearm (Ruger LCP). I looked at the CO SP and firearms website and laws seem very similar to PA. Are there any goofy laws or incidences to look out for?

    they are crazy

I went to Grand Junction, CO a few months ago.

for having a pocket knife, I was surrounded by 5 officers/4 cars, held at gun point, searched, cuffed and thrown in the back of a cop car

a co-worker of mine had his firearm, his CCW and his state was reciprocal to Colorado. He got pulled over for a traffic violation, and informed the officer, right off the bat that he had a firearm, his ccw permit, and that it was honored in Colorado...... the officer immediately pulled out his firearm and held my co-worker at gun point.

    Illinois is not a problem.

IL, like PA, honors all other state licenses while WITHIN a vehicle. And even beyond that, unlike PA, IL also allows for unloaded and encased firearms if you don't have a license.

I was in the Army at Colorado Springs 1958-1959. I can remember people walking around town with guns in holsters. I noticed it, and chalked it up to being "out west".
That was yesterday, and yesterday's gone.

    Sadly dead serious.

I had to prove to the police my identity, my address (they were baffled on why I didn't have a Colorado driver's license), what hotel I was staying in (even though I was in the parking lot of said hotel), what room I was staying in, as well as my employer.

Colorado is a way, way, different state than it was when I was a youth. I have family there, I visit, but the drug trade has been a beacon for every bum, leftist freakotard and weed smoker around and it's all gone downhill. Denver is overwhelmed with homeless bums and every time I turn around it seems there is another police shooting or homicide going on. When you get away from the Front Range and the towns you can still find the old Colorado but it's getting harder to find.

I carry there just like I do in PA.
