    Default Cc application

Hi I have a cc from Northampton county pa moved to Monroe county pa but the sheriff up here has his own cc form to fill out that he made up. It seems to be illegal he wants to know how much you make a copy of your w4 and a copy of your retirement benefits. What does this have to do with a cc permit.I have come to find out this guy is very corrupt so what can I do to get my cc I refuse to give him my personal finance information.

Not entirely. See link to Monroe Co. Sheriff:

In addition to the standard LTCF application, apparently there is a second form that "shall be required" to confirm Monroe Co. residency.

You mean, like a driver's license? It would seem to me that a sheriff would know which addresses fell within his/her county.

    Just sayin'...

Possessing a PA driver license doesn't necessarily mean the license holder is a current resident at the address on the license. Think about the person who moves to Philadelphia but would like to apply for an LTCF in a less restrictive county, so he purposely doesn't update the Monroe Co. address on his driver license.

I'm not defending the policy in that county. I am providing links to the Monroe County webpage for those who wish to learn what the policy is instead of guessing:

Monroe County Sheriff's Department: "Requirements To Apply for a Concealed Weapon" (language copied directly from sheriff's webpage.)

Monroe County Sheriff's Department: [PDF 28.8Kb] "Instructions for License to Carry Firearms Applications"

The second link (the PDF) has details on acceptable proof of residence for that county.

    Martin is a scum bag.

If your LTCF from Northhampton is still valid then you can continue to use it until it expires. Personally I would fill out the form as usual and demand they process it, and dare them to deny you based on their extra requirements. They will lose.

You don't have to show any of that information. Yes there is a law suit involved already about all of his illegal questions and requirements. If you give him anything look him in the eye and tell him you want all your private information redacted and that you want it done in front of you to make sure it gets done.
