    Comical maybe, but sad?

This is not the same as when the engineers told NASA NOT to launch that one space shuttle on that very cold day in January.

When I get free legal advice, I usually consider how much I paid for that advice before I rely heavily on it.

Citizens are allowed to express opinions about what our laws are. In fact, I'm in favor of it happening in the K-12 context. People SHOULD talk about the rules, so they will more easily figure out what they are. We pump out new citizens who are clueless about basic laws that they're required to obey. We have over a million LTCF holders in PA, and maybe 2,000 of them have a solid grasp of the laws on the use of deadly force.

You don't have to be a lawyer to discuss what the laws are. But you should be one before you start representing clients, or giving advice on how a specific person should address a specific problem.

I believe that anyone can discuss what laws are. But to give legal advice is another matter. UPL can be serious. It seems that sometimes police officers and other persons attempt to go further than discuss the law and actually appear to be providing legal advice and possibly engaging in UPL.

Yep, it's done as far as I'm concerned. Thanks to all for the input and legal advice.
