Default In what position do you carry?

    Total noob question

I am new to CC, I have an Alien Gear IWB Cloak Tuck 3.0 and a Ruger LC9S. I just started carrying around the house to get used to the feeling and am trying to find the best position for myself. Currently, I am right-handed and around 3 o'clock seems to feel pretty good; much further back (say 4 or 4:30) and it seems hard to get my hand on the gun and even harder to reholster. Also, I'm guessing tighter on the belt is better?

    Thanks for any opinions!

I carry right behind the side belt loop when I CC, so about 3:30/4 o'clock position. I am skinny so even though the grip is a little towards my back, I have no problems reaching it.

I carry a Lc9s IWB on the right side at 3:30.

Normally I open carry. When I conceal I carry in the same position about 3:30 with a forward leaning cant to the holster. It's just something you need to play with until it feels right. My usual open carry is a 1911. My conceal one is a Sig P238 EQ. Sometimes when it feels right I open carry my Springfield XD.

Where I live open carry is no big deal. I have been open carry for over 17 years and the number of complaints could be counted on one hand with fingers missing.

3:30/4 o'clock, whether I'm open or concealed. I find straight at 3 digs into my love handles too much when I sit. Just a little further back and I'm gtg. I also usually use a slight forward cant on my holster.

I primarily use owb holsters, so I keep my belt fairly tight. What belt are you using? If you have to make it uncomfortably tight to get support, then it might be time for a new belt.

Hi, I got this one from Relentless Tactical. I have it cinched tighter than I usually wear a regular belt, mostly because when 1 notch looser, the holster/gun seemed to droop a bit.

Also, seems to pull the butt closer to my body...

Not familiar with it, but seems decent enough. Sounds like you may be just a little in between sizes of the holes. As long as it's comfortable it should be fine. If it pulls the but in that'll help conceal a little better. A lc9s shouldn't print much to begin with anyways.

My weight has fluctuated quite a bit over the years, so I went with a riggers belt. No holes to worry about. Just cinch it down and go. Before that I had a leather carry belt and liked it, just didn't like that I expanded past it's limitations.

I've heard of doggy style, but froggy style has me intrigued. Did you learn that in the Kermit Sutra?
