Default Spoke to Corporate Rep of American Airlines CEO today

Today I received a call back from Karl Hiller who is the Corporate Customer Rep of American Airlines in regards to a letter I sent to the CEO of American Airlines. I told of flying into Philadelphia and having a big red Return to BSO tag on my luggage and that instead of my luggage being delivered to the secure baggage office it was left on the PHL carousel with the big red steal me tag. I told him of the not being able to print out my boarding pass on the return flight because AA assumed I was returning with the firearm.

He advised that he will re-educate the Philly involved personnel on not retrieving the tagged luggage. He also said the flagging people who travel with guns is a new policy and they will continue to do so. They will not allow you to check in on line if you carry a firearm on your round trip or according to him even have a separate return trip.

I'm guessing the red tag doesn't say "GUN INSIDE!!!"

It just says that to those who know what the red tag means.

I'll keep flying Southwest... but then again, never took a gun on SW flight, only Allegient Air. Don't typically fly with my firearms.
