I fully believe these types of discussions advance peoples knowledge through discussion more than, say, another 9 vs 45 thread

A couple of years ago I asked an instructor if he knew of any automatics that could not be pushed out of battery. He had never heard of it. We were taught this in basic training in the 60's but I never heard of someone using it. This was with 1911's

The only thing being advanced is discussion of topics that are food for further enlightenment of what's possible and don't hold the normal dogma of FSP, 9 vs 45 etc. everyone sees on the various boards.
