Re: Photobucket replacement
I tried downloading 2 pictures and then one album.
I'll have to check. I believe the options were Picasa and Windows photo something or a other.
I tried the Windows destination but could not find them.
I'll try again later and see if they show up in Picasa. Perhaps I can rename that download file with a name linking it to photobucket.
Time will tell.Opinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

Re: Photobucket replacement
I have four Photobucket accounts - three free and one paid for my business images.
1. Free acct - Opened back in 2007/2007 - was well within alloted space - you got MUCH more for free back then AND THEY GRANDFATHERED IT IN AS OPTIONS CHANGED THRU THE YEARS - they did NOT change the rules and require you to upgrade until now.
IMAGES STILL DISPLAY (at this time, but I did just get "the notice", so I don't expect it to last
2. Free acct - Opened around 2010/2012 - That one was getting close to full - but NOT exceeding the free limit allotted.
NO IMAGES DISPLAY
3. Free acct - Created about 2014 to have a place JUST for pet pics so other people on other forums weren't linking back and seeing all my gun shit. THAT one was at the limit and by that point PB wasn't giving much space to free accts.
When I got TO the limit it would simply not upload any more images.
NO IMAGES DISPLAY
4. Paid acct - Business images. I forget which plan, but it was likely the lowest paid plan. Nowhere NEAR capacity as I hardly used it.
NO IMAGES DISPLAYI called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Photobucket replacement
Here's another free image hosting site. I found this while reading an article about how Photobucket screwed everyone.
https://vgy.me/
Looks decent but it's based in the UK. Who knows when they may deem photos of guns to be "obscene" or viewed as terror related activity.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Photobucket replacement
I signed up on Flickr but I hate it. No sub-folders. You have to create "Collections" and then there are "albums" and "Galleries" and a "Photostream", but only some things can go into others and none of it is intuitive AT ALL and is so freaking confusing I can't believe it.
So I saw this post and tried checking out imgbb... Holy no-info, Batman!
Terms of service: Don't put anything illegal in the USA or EU here - if you aren't sure if it's illegal, don't upload it.
We check every image and violators will be banned, hunted down and jailed. (OK, I made up the last part)
No info on file types, size limits - nothing.
I'm just getting really disgusted with all of this.
How flipping hard should it be to find a site that allows you to organize things like a normal human being?
Folder: AR15s
Sub folder: 9mm AR15
-Sub-sub folder: 9mm AR15 Parts
-Sub-sub folder: 9mm AR15 Test Fire
Sub folder: 7.62x39 AR15
-Sub-sub folder: 7.62 Range Trip
-Sub-sub folder: 7.62 BCG

Sub folder: Dogs
-Sub-sub folder: Pepe
-Sub-sub folder: Bella
-Sub-subfolder: Roofus
Sub folder: Cats
-Sub-sub folder: Boo-Boo
-Sub-sub folder: Pogo
Is that too much to ask for?
I'm ready and willing to PAY for Smugmug at this point.
Does anyone use it and can I ask you a few questions???I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Photobucket replacement
Seriously, consider using Facebook just for photos and videos. You can do that and ignore the whole Facebook thing if you want. Just don't friend anyone. Use a fake name if you want.
Start small and see if the photo thing is for you. If not, move on but it might be worth the try.
