    Gander Mountain customers do.

My shop got one in. I think we stickered it for $780...
My only dislike is that they only come with adjustable rear sight. I hate the fact manufactures seems to think if someone buys 10mm, they automatically assume that they are for hunting. They must never think that some of us carry 10mm, because its ust bad ass round.
When I mentioned that to Ruger rep few weeks ago, apparent that I was one of many mentioned about lack of standard sight model.

I'm way more pissed that they only make a double action .44spl with a 3" barrel. As for 10mm 1911's I don't see the point, the round does nothing to justify the extra expense over a .45 if you're stuck with single stack mags.

That .44 Special is a travesty.
I was going to get one, and then I thought about it, I already have a short barreled .44 Special that was one third of the price of the new Ruger, I passed.

Except having nearly twice the energy and accuracy out to 100 yards?

This is the reply e-mail to my LGS in E-town.
This is the same price I was quoted at my lgs last week. I'm considering it in the future. To many bills rifle now, but maybe in a month or two.

Look at it as gaining 2-3 extra rounds over a 357. It's ballisticly more similar to .357 than .45acp. Easier to carry IMHO too.

My dad bought the 44spl GP100 about a month ago. I like it a lot. I love the grip. Shoots real nice. It needs to be shot a few thousand times to smooth out the trigger, though.

    The stupid thing shoots great.

I also just picked up that S&W Second Model Hand Ejector in .44spec that was found alongside the highway in 1966 but haven't shot it yet.
