Default Short Barrel Shotgun SBS, Barrel Gap Filler?

Anyone have any experience with making or working with a short barrel shotgun, a side by side?
There is a gap between the two barrels, I am wondering what this can be filled with to keep the integrity of the barrels so they will not come apart?

You don't have to a thing. They are still welded together, just the end is open. If it really bothers you, I've seen guys use JB Weld to fill in and finish the open end.

I packed mine full and tight of cleaning patches until i couldn't get any more in but left a good 3/8" of opening left at the end.
Then mixed up JB Weld as Hawk said and filled it in. Let it cure, sanded smooth, and then cold blued the end.
I have no idea how many round through it since and no issues with the end.
Like Hawk mentioned, it will be fine. It just finished off the build.
Same with drilling and tapping and re-installing the front bead.

Ive also silver soldered a few if the gap is small enough.

Make it a spring loaded bayonet, like a stiletto.

I fill those frequently. SXS barrels are normally soft soldered together, so don't braze, weld or silver solder.
I mix up Accra Glass gel with atomized stainless steel and fill the gap.

Drill and tap for the front bead before the glass and the glass will anchor the bead- it'll never come out until you want it to.
You can finish the end while the bedding compound is still wet by carefully carding off the excess epoxy. You won't have to finish sand it after it dries.
    Cold blue after it cures.

Is this something you do as a job or service?
If I manage to get a side x side 20 gauge and want to SBS it, after the paperwork comes back I was gonna talk to a few local shops and see what they could do but I like the sound of this ^.

I offer it as a service.
I can do the whole job or just the items you don't want to do yourself.

IMO go 12ga, theres much better selection of shells, and trap loads arent bad at all, then you can get chamber adapters in alot of calibers too 20ga is on its way out theres either walmart cheap shells or $15 per box hunting stuff.
