I never owned a Kimber. I've owned, and do own, Colt 1911's. Colt magazines seem to work very well. I also like how they are flush GI syle mags.
It should work in any good 1911; test it first before you carry it.

Well I bought a new Kimber Ultra Carry II at Cabela's in Hamburg yesterday. Payed 617.99. Checked there wesite yesterday and the price was down to 649.99. After getting a veterans discount of 5% which I didn't know about, ended up at 617.99. So if your a vet ask for the discount. Haven't tried my colt mags yet. The Colt mags do work, but stick out the bottom some. Doesn't bother me. Using them for extras just in case.
