I wonder if any of those guns were used in the fatal shooting on S. Queen street, downtown? Not like it would matter, we'd still pay for it in the form of more gun control.

    IMHO:

"paying for it" is right! Maybe a few members should send a letter or two the shop owner about not properly securing his merchandise(monitored alarms, video cameras, exterior lighting, what ever he/she missed), and how it will fall on the shoulders of us citizens.

I remind others, you support bad businesses, you support the consequences.

    Just saying...

You have no idea how right on you are. The 'West York Sporting Goods' store is little more than a shack with an ancient indoor range and EXTREMELY poor or no security. The store is a mess. Hardly even call it a store.

I was on the scene of the shooting, from what I "heard" on the scene, the shooter and the victim have both been involved in at least one other shoot-out recently. Both could have died and nobody but their parents (maybe) would have missed them.
I don't know why you commented about more gun control, we haven't had any new local legislation for about as long as I can remember and from the few conversations with our new Sheriff I believe he is very pro-gun. EDITED seems from some posts in the Open and Concealed Carry board that our Sheriff isn't as pro-gun as I was led to believe.

West York Sporting Goods should be hammered for allowing these thefts to happen. There is no reason, especially with their pathetic inventory, that every firearm in the store is not locked up after business hours.

Yes, because placing the blame on the shoulders of the victim is a valid tactic to fight crime or incursions on our liberties.

Well, I will say the guy who runs it is a bit odd.

At first I heard references to Stubby's on Market St. And I thought that place was Stubby's.

Shot there once, was a bit pricey. Equipment is old. It's in a not so great neighborhood. I think with a bit of work it could be a cool place. But it's probably worth it to drive 15 minutes down to Freedom Armory.

This is the place I bought my P 95 from. I wasn't very comfortable with the guy, and haven't been back there since. I definately won't be going back now.
