Utah permit/licence/whatever they call it.

Is there any place local (pittsburgh area) or online that does the required training for the utah permit/license? Planning a trip out of state and I'd rather not have to hand over something that looks like I made it on a printer in my basement, thanks pa for that, if I can avoid it.

If you want one that looks like a DL move on over to Philly. After going through their stupid and illegal process and waiting the entire 45 (business) days you can get a nice plastic one here.

Those legal heat classes provide the required training, but you still have to submit your application to the Utah Department of Safety. I think it takes 30-60 days. The Utah permit looks much like the one from PA. Ironically, when I moved and informed of my address change, Utah just said to write my new address on the back of the current permit. To get a new one, I have to get their update form notarized and mail it to them.
