Star Trek's Mr Sulu, to marry his long-term boyfriend
Takei & Partner To Wed Saturday
Shatner Not Expected To Attend
UPDATED: 3:44 am HST September 11, 2008
WASHINGTON -- Star date 9/14/08: Mr. Sulu will go where no "Star Trek" castmate has gone before – to wed his longtime partner.
George Takei will tie the knot with his boyfriend Brad Altman in Los Angeles Sunday. Nichelle Nichols -- who played Uhura – will be their "best lady" and Walter Koenig -- who played Chekhov -- will be the best man.
Originally not on the guest list, William "Captain Kirk" Shatner was eventually invited. But since he never replied, he's not expected to attend.
Takei told AP Radio of the pending nuptials, "We are overjoyed, ecstatic."
For his part, Altman said that he "can't live without George."
They've been together 21 years without a marriage license, but Takei said he's not worried that making it official will change anything. He said that they have "a tested and stable relationship."
After the ceremony, Takei and Altman will honeymoon in Argentina and Peru.Last edited by HiredGoon; September 11th, 2008 at 10:16 PM.

I thought they tied the knot already. I saw him grinning ear to ear with his man/wife months ago. Thought for sure they would have sealed the deal by now.

I don't know about the kid but the one who carried would look like a hunchback.
A woman who looked to be in 8th or 9th month of pregnancy came to her doctor for a prescription to the pill. The doctor told her that it was too late. She answered "Oh no, last night my husband found a new place to put it and I don't want a hump in the back".
