Re: Pennsylvania Republicans Push Bill to Make Gun Owners a 'Protected Class'
Europe and other countries have had classes, specific and de facto, for centuries. The class system was fled and our constitution created to assure it would never be copied here.
Every special class or segment specially addressed by law is short-sighted and incremental destruction of our founders hard-fought bestowments.

Re: Pennsylvania Republicans Push Bill to Make Gun Owners a 'Protected Class'
We've had classes here in the USA from time of discovery as well. While it isn't "socially correct", there is proper place for different classes. What isn't proper is setting things so that people cannot move up in class.
There was a time and age in the USA after we gave the UK the boot that the Militia was considered an upper class to the average person. Most notably the Minute Men of the Militia, who were ready to fight at a moments notice. Then there were of course the politicians(I hope you can hear by eyes roll).
Doctors and other educated professional were also treated as a higher class. Then there were the slaves, indentured servants, apprentices, convicts, and freemen. Some of which has gone the wayside, but some still remain.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515

Not really in favor of any protected class, but since this is the tactic used by the liberals, why not use it against them.
