Dillsburg (York County) Public Range Hours

Anyone know the hours there for Sundays - the website says 8am till sunset "except Sunday Mornings" but it does not give any specifics as to Sunday afternoons or anything

Yeppur, Noon til sunset. On a side note, If your tryiong to get there to site in a rifle for deer season, years of experience on that range have told me to get there midday on a wekday. Far to many people there on the weekends, and most of them will be the kind you don't want having a gun.

Yep, I agree w/Dave. Was there on Wed. between 11:00-12:00 and shoot the rifle range w/3 other gentlemen.

The main thing you heard was 1/2 a dozen shots from each then "CLEAR" as we all checked our targets.

how is it at the range during the morning like around 9 a.m or so..is it that many people there????

the dillsburg range gets pretty packed by 10am on saturdays with lines, never went on a sunday. during deer season, be prepared for crowds and long waits.

the adams county sport handgunners club is in gardners, a private club 18 miles south on route 15. there is rarely a crowd, so you can sight-in and shoot without public crowds or game land rules for $25 a year.

You should be good to go at that time, but the closer you get to deer season the worse it will be,and if you plan on using any type of assault/SEBR near deer season be prepared for lots of looks, and snide comments about how you're the ones destroying the ranges with your full auto weapons. thats why I avoid them during this time. I've heard lots of good things about ACSHA, and I belong to the Dover Finh and Game Assoc. Dover has its own range, costs 20 bucks to start and then just 10 per year after that. The range is not the greatest, and its not setup for handguns at all, but I like that can take my 30-06, muzzle loader and any other scoped weapon I have, site them all in and most likely have no one else show up.

i only have pistols so i wouldn't need a rifle only range..i can only shoot during the week mostly.because i have 2 days off of work during the week instead of the weekend..

On a side note when shooting your pistol at this range, range rules only allow six round at a time, do not fully load your mags.
