Wow, I would be a little nervous too, even without having kids.

    I know it happens here.

If your township has local police, you might have trouble getting the police report, but you should be able to get a verbal confirmation from the chief or one of the senior officers. Another avenue would be to talk to one of the township supervisors.

My township is small, and the "neighbor network" reports everything.
Boy, I say boy, you're reaching the limits of my medication!

psp will sometimes release dockets on facebook, local pd's will as well. our sharpies down at sarpd will update every now and then.
twp would be the next to check. poconorecord sometimes will report on things a month after they've happened. and only if the news was spoon fed to them, met their agenda. etc.
There is no way to make it out alive...

a friend of mine was able to get information from his friend who is PD.... i believe in, "trust but verify" especially when you hear it from a friend, who heard it from a friend, who.... (good supertramp song)

turns out that there were people arrested - heroin addicts trying to break into houses but they didn't have guns. one day, they will try to break into the wrong house.

    thanks for the help.

My township does not subscribe to crimemapping.com. So all the crime is in Bristol or across the river in Trenton.

Nothing to see here folks. None of those evildoers in Bristol and Trenton dare cross the magical invisible township border line.

It seems more serious crimes don't get reported. I learned this when a neighbor was followed home from the Trenton train station one night and held up at gunpoint in his garage. Again, I only became aware of a local burglary because a detective asked questions of me and my neighbors.

None of this was reported in the Twp. police blotter.
This is pretty accurate. Even the local police I know don't give specifics or elaborate too much when something happens. The local paper has a police blotter which isn't too bad. The two best sources for info to me are the local gunshop which many police frequent. I've heard some good tidbits while BS'ing. Also, believe it or not some of the local neighborhoods have Facebook pages (I don't Facebook) but when they had some break-ins there was info flying back and forth.

The heroin problem is awful in SW PA...everywhere actually. Nowhere is safe from the problems. Even the wealthy suburbs.
