non traditional 270 win ideas

I really would like to get another 270 win, but not a typical fudd gun as I'm more of a target shooter then a hunter. I was thinking a single shot like the Winchester 1885 would be fun, or a Ruger#1 or a lever rifle and my choices are quite limited there to either a BLR or a 1895...I'm so open to other ideas though!!

M1 garand ! Your correct the lever action options are limited . Single shot opens it up some like a TC encore and others besides a ruger #1, there's always the Rem pump and semi auto in 270 as well

a 270 garand would be grand! (plus a few hundred on top...) there was a beauty for sale on here in classifieds. That sure would be fun...really like the single shot idea too though.

The 270 has the same OAL as a 30-06. I have a feeling that your "coolness factor" options are going to be somewhat limited. If it were based on a 308WIN, you could do an FAL, AR-10, CETME, etc.
