I haven't used RIT dye on brace, but I used Aervoe paint. Aervoe is much more durable compared to other aerosols out in the market. Plastic/rubber is tough to coat, but the Aervoe has been holding up for me for the last couple of years.

Good to hear. I bought a used handguard for an AR15 that had been sprayed with Aervoe paint. I got the color number from the seller and may get more to paint the rest of the rifle.
