Why do some people ridicule Glock enthusiasts?
I have seen the term, "Glock fan-boy" used more than once in the most derisive manner.
Seems like there are lovers and haters of this particular brand to a greater extreme than with any other firearm. What gives here?
I purchased my first Glock and I think it is love at first site. What's not to like?
Can anybody explain the hate to me?
What is YOUR take on Glocks, do you love them or hate them?

Glock Fan boys aren't nearly as bad as 1911 fanbois, or those disgusting Sig fanbois.

Where do the H&K fanboys rank among the others?

Don't even get people started on Hi-Point fanboys.

Re: Why do some people ridicule Glock enthusiasts?
Some guys just refuse to believe a "plastic gun" can be worth a crap and anyone who likes them doesn't know what they're talking about. There are also posts where the member asking a question may be referring to a 1911 or Sig (examples) and someone says something to the effect of "just get a Glock and you won't have to worry about this or that". These are two examples where I wouldn't be surprised to see the word "fanboy" in the responses.
Personally I own a few Glocks and find them on par with my other handguns.DDG-8 "Sine Timore"

Re: Why do some people ridicule Glock enthusiasts?
IMHO the term is meant more for those that are obsessed and nothing else but want they choose is satisfactory.

Streaker: Is "fanbois" pronounced "fan boys," or "fan bwah"?
"Bois" being French for "forest" and all.

Re: Why do some people ridicule Glock enthusiasts?
A lot of people think they are ugly looking, so maybe it bothers them that an "ugly" gun works as good as they do.
