I just took my 22a out to the range for the first time since last summer, no lube other than what was on there from last summers cleaning and ran 500 rds through it and only had one jam...shot half dollar groups at 40 yards.

I know this is a really old Post but I love my 22A!

600 Rounds So Far and no big issues minus 4-5 jams.

    How is yours holding up?

    Thumbs up Re: S&W 22A 22lr semi-auto pistol - Review

Mine is holding up fine. I have run thousand of rounds (literally lost count) through it and it's still as accurate as when I just got it. Only replaced the recoil buffer once or twice. Mine does not like Remington or Aguilla ammo but runs fine on Winchester, Federal and CCI. Will buy another if mine ever wears out.

Great inexpensive gun. I put red-dot sight on mine and I was much more accurate with the addition.

I love mine, and it doesn't like anything but the federal.

For the price it's awesome. I didn't want to throw a sight on it that costs more than the gun.

I'm running Mini Mag through it right now, going to buy some federal next. Glad to hear everyone's is holding up fine, I was hesitant to purchase at first but now I'm glad I did. So fun to shoot!

Poor man's model 41, or High Standard Victor. In the 1960s and 70s when bullseye shooting was the rage, aforementioned models were the king of the hill.
For me, the 22a is one of the greatest values in the gun world. With the price of ammo, more dealers are stocking these all day shooters that doesn't require half a mortgage payment to feed it.

I agree so cheap to shoot and fun. Just picked up 1100 Federal Rounds for $36 today.
