Default Please help identify small part

Found on floor where I clean my guns. Can anyone identify as part of Smith & Wesson 500 Magnum, Remington 1911 R1, or Sig Sauer P238? It's about .25 in diameter, and about .25 in long, the small shaft is about .125 diameter.

I just took the plate off my 500 Magnum which exposed the trigger and all the internal stuff. Also took cylinder ejection mechanism apart.
    Hope someone can help.
    Thanks

It’s the Mainspring Housing Pin Lock to your Sig 238.

Check out part 33 on this diagram. It will show you were it goes.

I was going to suggest it fit the end of a spring, but looks like eagleclaw nailed it!

Awesome. I ended up having to reset the ejection lever on the sear spring because I pushed it down too far while cleaning the gun. It must have popped out when I did that. Thanks a lot, eagleclaw. It's a relief to know where it goes. I had a heck of a time getting that sear spring in there just right. Not looking forward to that again.

With the info provided was able to disassemble the 380, replace the part and reassemble it. I even made friends with the sear spring, was no problem to get it in there correctly.
