Thoughts on this class: Firearm Laws in PA
Hey folks. I am considering this course as part of my efforts to be a responsible carrier. What do you think? Is it worth the $100 cost?
I am an avid reader, so if there is a book or web site that will give me the same info, I am all about that. But I thought a classroom setting might be beneficial as it would give me an opportunity to ask questions and ensure I understand the material.

Attend probably the most critical training that you can receive as a PA firearms owner and CCW holder!
This 2 hour course covers the laws governing:
- Obtaining Firearms
- Transferring Firearms
- Possession of Firearms
- In State and Interstate transportation of Firearms
- Use of Deadly Force
- Legal Aftermath of Deadly Force

I do not think this is a Firearms safety course. This one is being run by an attorney, and I believe is more about the legal ramifications of buying, owning, and the legality of discharging a firearm in self defense.
Most safety courses are 3-4 hours, not 2.Last edited by Auriemma; May 17th, 2017 at 12:32 PM.

I would trust the input of an Attorney who deals with firearms law in those areas before almost anyone in LE.
$100 for a 2 hour session seems a bit high ( for me).
I believe there are a couple Attorneys on this board who run an 8 hour session, one of whom charges about the same amount for more face time.Opinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

That is the firearms safety class the Montco Sheriffs office does once a month.
I took the class. It's free and it's well done. Well worth your time... if that's what you're looking for.
