Am I reading this the wrong way...
Seeing posts under the buy/sell part of the site, usually from buyers with just one or a couple of posts.
"I want to buy "xyz" gun" ..........well, go to a frigging gun store.Last edited by Pittsburgh Pete; May 12th, 2017 at 07:35 PM.

Re: Am I reading this the wrong way...
Probably looking for a used or lower price deal. We all started here somehow, some just choose to make awkward WTB ads.
Strongly doubt anyone from LE is out to get us.

Unless it is a case of fraud, spam, or other rule breaking - what happens in the Classifieds, stays in the Classifieds.

Re: Am I reading this the wrong way...
A lot of times, older guns are better, like Marlins. I'd rather have a twenty year old Marlin, than a new one.

Re: Am I reading this the wrong way...
If you are looking-for a certain gun, it can be beneficial to post an ad. In the past I saw one for a specific not too common gun, and I happened to see one at a LGS I visited in my travels which had a slightly used one with sling and extra mags at a good price. I PM-ed the guy and he went and got the gun the next day.
So it worked out well. Not that it always does, but sometimes it helps. I do suggest mentioning I saw it on PAFOA for good PR.Illegitimus non carborundum est

Re: Am I reading this the wrong way...
probably taking it wrong. at first the low post counts irked me and i get a kick out of seeing items bumped for months and months.(it probably aint gonna sell...)
although an ad for wtb glock is not as sensible as wtb rare item or wtb old item.
thought our marketplace, society, has always been that sellers offer and buyers travel and seek. not the other way.
just be glad it's not craigslist. i love when you are in the "for sale" or job listing parts and you see wtb and looking for work.
they seriously believe an employer is going to search through tons of job listings for a random misplaced ad seeking employment?
pretty much disqualifies you for anything but picking trash off the road in my mind... simple tasks not requiring much thought.
they have respective sections.
however, i'm always willing to take 9mm,.22lr,5.56/.223,7.62x54r and 12ga off people's hands. also open to black and smokeless powders as well as a variety of chemicals. also willing to take charity firearms and some lumber.
of course this all needs delivered to me as well, can't be bothered to drive anywhere. There is no way to make it out alive...

Re: Am I reading this the wrong way...
nib, don't mind the dirty chamber?
not accusing anyone. never dealt with any sellers on here, but that would be common face to face sales practice. hell, it's common return practice. "never used it" "maam, there is dried spaghetti on this"
we get returns that weren't used, but i often look at the contractor like... wtf did you do to it? why is it covered in mud and scratches...There is no way to make it out alive...
