    Default Positive OC Encounter

I was on a trip and stopped at the Shenandoah River state park in VA for some camping. I normally CC but my outfit and holster choice really only lended itself to OC. My fiance and I were finished up a hike when we crossed paths with an elderly woman with her dog. She turned out to be very cool.

We were talking for awhile and she noticed my firearm.

Her: is that a pistol he's carrying?
    Me: why yes it is!
Her: I should probably take a class and start carrying mine.
Me: you definitely should, you never know when you'll need it.
Her: when I was camping out of my car many years ago I had mine with me, loaded! It's not a Smith and Wesson, not a Dan Wesson, just a Wesson. Its a five shot revolver. I also have a Winchester lever action 100yr commemorative model.

(Can anyone provide info about this pistol? A quick search didn't yield me anything)

We talked a bunch more, she was 80 years old and obviously quite active! Also seeing her again later in the parking lot getting into her SUV with a big Trump sticker made me happy.

Maybe my convo with her makes her get her CHL and who knows, it could save her life one day.

Very good. I think most honest people can easily realize the wisdom in lawful armed self reliance.

"Just a Wesson?" And a lever gun?

    Go back and marry her!
