Good luck with that. It is unfortunate that you haven't run into a competent gun smith yet. We may have some major, major problems out her on the west coast, but we have some damn fine craftsman that can perform a whole lot of magic on firearms. I'm happy that you are so secure in your knowledge of firearms that you have nothing left to learn. I envy someone that has reached that pinnacle in life.

What do you mean "all the best to you and your ak"? I'm not the guy who started the thread. Had you bothered to read the fucking thing you would have seen that he already threaded his muzzle 2 weeks before you posted.

With that level of attention to detail I wouldn't trust you to thread a needle.

Raxar, you don't need to cut/drill out any rivets to remove an AK barrel assembly. Just press out the barrel pin, press out the barrel, and then unpopulate the barrel to chuck it into the lathe.

There are muzzle threading kits in the form of a pilot that fits the bore and acts as a guide for the die.
