Default need suggestions for ar build

I was given a faxon 16in m4 profile barrel and I was thinking of building a sopmod m4 block 2. Here is the kicker I don't want to spend the money on a ris ii rail (to expensive). Any suggestions on rail systems or builds that are better than the sopmod?

The DD rails after hard to find and expensive $400+usually. Without that rail it wouldn't be a clone but something like https://troyind.com/products/charlie-blk might be worth checking out. I think Midwest industries and Centurion make fsb cutout rails as well. TOS has several threads on this clone that might be worth checking out. Clone builds are to expensive for my tastes

Why don't you do a Block 1 or 1.5 clone? The RAS is much more common

Can't go wrong with a Geissele Rail. But like previously mentioned your not doing a your clone build then.

I am completely open to it not being a clone. I was using it as a starting point. Thank you for your suggestion.

Why not give your budget for the rail, so people can make recommendations to you? Difficult to offer if we don't know what your willing to spend for a rail.
