Re: Gander Mountain Going Out of Business - NATIONWIDE
Not sure but there were only about 20 handguns left .
I thought the store was closing today. Salesgirl said about fine 10. Maybe I'll go back and get 2 more clothes racks to use as target holders or birdfeeder supports.
I picked up 4 boxes of Winchester BRI Sabots at 30% offOpinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

Re: Gander Mountain Going Out of Business - NATIONWIDE
I stopped in Monroeville today. Still a ton of merchandise. (go figure)
The up to 40% OFF signs are up, but shooting accessories are still only 10% off - shoes only 20%, clothes 20-30%.
Plenty of firearms still on the rack. Plenty of ammo (no discount) except 22LL which is the only ammo they carry that isn't highly inflated. All the good priced 22 is gone.
I took some pics of some clothes that I'm going to look up online to see if it's actually a deal before going back.
I don't know about the claims of inflating prices before offering a discount - all the prices I've seen are all still the original prices that were on the shelf. That may change though at any time, but as it is right now, I haven't seen that tactic.
They dragged the other area store closings out for months and months, so I don't expect them to be in a hurry to increase the discounts any time soon.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Stopped in Friday in York, looking mainly for camping deals. Bought nothing.
10% off everything still, except clothes were 20%. 5% on firearms, no discount on ammo.Galations 6:9...And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

all of their camping items are still over priced, you can buy the same items at walmart for roughly half their sale price...10% off all firearms which now with the discount are actually at normal market prices...

Re: Gander Mountain Going Out of Business - NATIONWIDE
I read a news article within the last week where the CEO of Camping World or whoever bought had several tweets stating not all stores are closing. They did sell the existing merchandise to liquidators, but they plan on restocking the stores they plan on keeping open. I cant find the link now, but some stores will remain open. It did say they may change the name

When I was there, I saw a sign that said something about "non-gander mountain merchandise" now included in discounted items.
I didn't know what it meant. Now I do.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Email I got today:
GANDER MTN.
An Important Message to Gander Mtn. Customers from Marcus Lemonis, CEO of Camping World & Good Sam.
We are delighted to announce that Gander Mtn. is now part of the Camping World & Good Sam family following Camping World’s successful bid for certain Gander Mtn. assets in a bankruptcy auction in April. Camping World & Good Sam is the nation’s largest network of RV-centric retail locations and the only provider of a comprehensive portfolio of services, protection plans, products, and resources for the outdoor enthusiast. At Camping World & Good Sam, we place a high value on customer satisfaction and our goal is to keep as many as 70 or more Gander Mtn. stores open following the bankruptcy liquidation process. Following the liquidation process, you’ll also see a fresh release of GanderMountain.com. By leveraging Camping World & Good Sam’s scale, operating infrastructure, and product expertise, we will be able to provide new products and services to the Gander Mtn. customer. We are very excited for the next chapter of Gander Mtn. as part of the Camping World & Good Sam family of companies.
As part of the transaction, ownership of the Gander Mtn.’s customer database is being transferred to a Camping World & Good Sam subsidiary that will operate the new business. Camping World & Good Sam will continue to abide by the existing Gander Mtn. privacy policy. In the event that there are any significant changes to the applicable privacy practices in the future, you will have an opportunity to decide whether to opt out of or accept such changes before they are implemented.
We hope you’re as excited as we are about this new adventure and we look forward to earning your business!
