Agree or disagree, the article does inform people that what he did was a completely legal activity.

It's Reading....so your question has no reasonable answer.

Agree. It also shows what an ass Wally Scott is. Terrible judge. He married my brother. (yeah, I'm gonna leave it like that. )

if you ask the left, the first and second are high on their ban list. well, they pretty much want to scrap the whole bill of rights.

As usual the article doesn't present enough info. He could have been promoting the 2A, walking and talking to people along the way. Who knows.

The article was good in that it wasn't a condemnation of open carry and presented different opinions.

If someone came into a restaurant I was at with a slung rifle yeah I'd be more aware. That's true of a lot of things. I'm not sure I believe there was a mass exodus of customers as the one guy said. Maybe there was maybe not.

    Demeanor makes a difference.

Or maybe that person would win a Darwin award for attacking a legally armed person.

If there was a mass exodus when the guy arrived I hope they paid first.

I wonder if he knew the mayor might be there.

And to the question, yes ANYONE should increase their level of SA when he walks in, but until he does something to prove otherwise, I'm going to treat him as a fellow law-abiding gun owner and not be the one to cause an unwarranted disturbance. Most criminals and potential murderers aren't going to be OCing in a proper holster and carrying a rifle properly. If they want to shoot a place up, they're likely going to ether hide it (probably in their underwear band) until they make their move, or walk in shooting.

A "man with a gun" being carried legally and safely...that's a welcomed sight to me. But sure, I'll keep an eye on him...I don't know his level of training...stupid mistakes can happen with a gun as easily as it can with a car or hot cup of coffee.
