Red face Question about carrying in CO

Did a quick search and couldn't find anything... More of a Colorado carry question than PA, but figured I'd ask...

I'm currently in Colorado visiting family. I understand CO has reciprocity with PA, and I should be able to carry a firearm, but here is my main question... can I borrow a handgun from my father-in-law to carry on me? Or are there stipulations on "lending" firearms?

I know that in PA, you can only lend a firearm to another PA LTCF(or recip license?) holder under the UFA, but I'm not sure about how CO works. Been searching around their site but haven't been able to find anything specific...

    Any help is appreciated

Negative. This is an interstate issue, so Federal law applies. Federal law only allows for loaned firearms for SPORTING purposes. And the Fedz only recognize hunting as the sporting purpose.

He cannot loan you a handgun to carry for any other purpose.

Dang, thanks knight! Guess I'll have to stick to the "knife to a gunfight" scenario in a worst case event.. lol

Get a pelican case with the "pick and pluck" foam. I think this is the one I have: https://www.amazon.com/Pelican-1400-.../dp/B00009XVKY.
