It looks like the brace and a few of the other small upgrades made here turn this range toy into a viable SD weapon.

The Shockwave is riding in a real "gray" area. Adding a pistol brace to it could constitute making a sawed off. I'm not a lawyer. I don't work for the BATF&E.

The Shockwave is one firearm I definitely plan to leave in "as manufactured".

I had a 500 & a Stoeger Coach gun. I gotta say, the double barrel is more intimidating.

    Meh.
Just add 4" to the barrel length and a collapsible stock and you'll have a standard 18" "tactical" shotgun without any questions or concerns to deal with.
The attraction of the Shock Wave (in it's factory configuration) is due to the short overall length with the Birds Head grip and 14" barrel. Adding a "brace" or stock just makes it "long" again.
    Toujours prêt

I bought one of these a few months back. I've been happy with it, fun gun to shoot. I saw Mossberg just released a version called "the nightstick" that comes with wood stocks.

    I'd like this in semi-auto.
