my understanding is the 590 receiver can't support semi-auto action with the bird's head grip. something about the bolt needs to go into the grip. Remington did theirs as a TAC-13 semi auto, but I hate Remington shotguns.

Ok, I have the semi auto version. Can I carry it loaded in the truck is my question.

I don't believe that. Most people want cool guns arnt looking to poach.

    I'm sorry if I wasn't clear.

Law says you can't have a rifle or shotgun, because they assume you are poaching if you have one loaded in your vehicle. This gets around that restriction, which is the reason why many seem to want one. I've carried an AR pistol from time to time in my vehicle, for much the same reason... it's legal where a regular rifle is not.

Let's rehash this again because I've failed to find the right answer posted here.

PA recognizes these types of smooth bore, 12ga, >26", non stock having guns as Title 1 "firearms" and is covered by a LTCF for concealed carry/loaded in a vehicle. Wouldn't the act of concealing these types of guns automatically make it an AOW in the eyes of the ATF just by concealing them irregardless of whether or not the state says it's ok to conceal them?

Where does the state say it's ok to conceal them? Just being in a vehicle isn't "concealed" . As far as the atf goes yea the only thing keeping it from being an aow is "concealability"

I understand the vehicle doesn't conceal the gun and that there are two separate definitions for meeting the criteria for needing a LTCF. I don't know, I was assuming that's what everyone here that was saying "it's covered by a LTCF" was saying.

So a smooth bore, 12ga, >26", never had a stock gun or an AR-15 >26", never had a stock, with a vertical forward grip gun loaded in a vehicle in PA is covered by a LTCF but concealed on ones person makes either an AOW to the feds?

Does the shockwave have to be out in the open or can it be loaded in a case in a vehicle?

What if its painted camouflage and it's carried openly on foot?

    Clear as mud.
