Norinco Hunter
Just bought one on a whim. It's an milled AK receiver set into a sporting/hunting style stock and fore arm. Anyone have/shot one?

They are nice rifles and were another attempt to get around the Clinton AWB until all Chinese imports banned for good.

Re: Norinco Hunter
I've owned 2, currently have one. If you happen to have the original scope mount its worth a good bit of money on it's own. They certainly aren't anything special. My biggest complaint is that the rear sight on mine gets accidentally switched to the long range setting very easily.

Re: Norinco Hunter
I have several of them they are nice rifles especially with a decent scope on them. They are not tack drivers but are super reliable.

Re: Norinco Hunter
Thanks for the replies. Mine is drilled and tapped for the side mount that is no where to be found. It has a dust cover rail that may be factory with a small 4 power scope on it now. Seems well made, nice blueing, decent wood. Haven't shot it yet. Should have above average AK accuracy.

Re: Norinco Hunter
Have had one for many years..it takes all 30 rd mags if you need to use it for SHTF and takes 5 rd mags if you wanna hunt w HP ammo..nice gun..w cheap wood tho :-(
I don't like the scope on the top cover, but have not tried to get another one bks that wd have to be screwed on to the milled receiver.

Re: Norinco Hunter
I shoot it occasionally..trigger could be better(sarc) Stock still looks like it came from a broken Chink rocking chair, but it works ;-)
I bought it during the "Cliton ban years" as a platform to use my many 30 rd AK mags. Still have the darn thing tho we do not shoot it often. Looks like a std hunting rifle w the 5 rd mags wh camne w the thing..and there4 makes a decent "truck gun" for SHTF if you throw in some 30 rounders. Kinda un-intimidating w that scope. I wish it had a better scope...Mounting them on the "dust cover" is shyte. It does accept the 75 rd drums too LOL
