Re: One handgun suggestions
Too tight of a budget for me. Sure the obvious Taurus/Keltec come to mind. Maybe a couple Ruger models.
Personally up the anti a bit, and for my money a Kahr CW9, or A Smith J-frame 642/637 can be had around $350 or better on a good sale.

Re: One handgun suggestions
I'd probably go with a used glock or springfield xd if I could find one for $300

Re: One handgun suggestions
I would probably go to the police trade in market, and see what is available. The Ruger P series was mentioned, and is also a good option.

Re: One handgun suggestions
If I come in under budget can I spend the rest of the $300 on booze and women? If so I pick the $20 accutek I bought last week, then will take the rest in red stripe, carlo rossi, wild irish rose, and illegal immigrants from north korea.

Re: One handgun suggestions
Nothing new in that price range for sure. A used modern often sold S&W, Springfield, Ruger, Glock, etc would be the only way to meet that low of a bottom-line that would be a man-stopping caliber, carry/concealable,, reliable and fun to shoot at the range.
Engineers make things idiot proof! Evolution makes better idiots!

Re: One handgun suggestions
These both lean towards carry rather than range, but they're solid contenders at under $300. I own one of each, no problems with either.

$199-$219 when in stock: http://palmettostatearmory.com/tauru...1031g2-12.html

Re: One handgun suggestions
IMO, either a police trade Glock or a Ruger Sr series pistol. The SR9c and SR40c are very handy, convertible to full capacity and concealable with a very good trigger and good ergos for a medium size hand. You shoud be able to find one of the SRc pistols in the $300 range since the advent of the Ruger American Pistol line.

Re: One handgun suggestions
Given the spending limit
I have to say the S&W Shield with the $75 rebate."It seems that the Constitution is more or less guidelines than actual rules"
