I prefer kydex. Kydex isn't going to absorb gun oils, water, sweat, but it will not collapse while re-holstering one handed.

If I need/want some kind of active retention, then I prefer a Safariland ALS holster.

I like how you replied and deflected the question, and ended up not even answering the original question.

Have you looked into a career in politics? I think you have a natural ability that would serve you well there.

    Leather.
A good leather holster will form to your firearm and to your body. Quiet. Soft. Natural.

I like my leather yaqui. It fits about 3/4 of all my handguns nicely and rides a little high for better concealment. It's an OWB. I don't do IWB except with my Shield which has a belt clip.

No fuss. No worries. No bother. No fortune spent to be like an anal teenage girl dressing for prom night.

Edit: ok.... My 6" Charter Arms Bulldog does stick out a little....but I don't carry that in the urban jungle anyway. Other than that it is also a perfect fit with the yaqui. I only might consider an enclosed black canvas revolver holster for that one eventually, for when I think carrying a 6" 357 magnum to the 7/11 is a good idea.

What this man said. I would try N8 holsters. They have some nice hybrids.

All kydex for me now. Retention is awesome, they don't collapse and they add minimal thickness.

Leather for EDC..... Kydex for camping, hunting.
If i end up in the wilderness with a leather holster though, I promise not to lose any sleep over it.
