Re: Possible Revocation of License to Carry Firearms?
Surprised that there is not a local ordinance against discharging a firearm? Or maybe their is and they decided not to charge you?

Re: Possible Revocation of License to Carry Firearms?
To be honest I'm planning on moving out of state real soon, but it'd be nice to just have it until then. I could still carry through the "transportation to firing range" loophole, but whatever... I just like to have that extra measure of licensure so that I don't have to, you know?

Re: Possible Revocation of License to Carry Firearms?
No ordinance. I checked beforehand and when I was arrested, the police officer asked exactly the precise location of where I was so they could check.

This is where a 5 gallon bucket and a bag of kitty litter come in real handy if you have a basement or a garage.
I don't know the legality of your or the polices actions to offer any advise.
Good Luck.Last edited by Hodgie; April 22nd, 2017 at 09:33 AM.

Re: Possible Revocation of License to Carry Firearms?
Ok, let me get this straight. You went out "in the woods" in Philadelphia and intentionally discharged a handgun. You did it in such a way that somehow the police were able to be led directly back to you. Furthermore, you admitted it to the police and even provided evidence.
Not to pile on, but, um, I would be surprised if you will be seeing your LTCF ever again. I also think you are lucky not to be charged. I would even consider the fact that you can recover your weapon gracious on PPD's part.
I would think there are smarter ways to test fire a handgun - shooting range, a car ride outside philly, etc.
I could only recommend getting a lawyer but I think you are pretty lucky not to be charged with a crime and getting your gun back, so you might want to just cut your losses.
