    Default Good ear protection; rifle

Looking for a good set of ear muffs to use when shooting AR. Scalloped. Hearing assistance not necessary.
    Recommendations ?

personally I hate wearing muffs for rifle or shotgun shooting. They always interfere with my cheek weld (fit of my cheek to the stock). I use muffs for pistol shooting and earplugs for everything else.

+1 Good set of ear plugs. They are cheap and easily replaced. They don't interfere with your cheek wield. I recommend a NNR of 28 or greater for center fire rifle shooting.

My two favorites: (they will last a long, long time if you wash them every once in awhile)

Any of you guys use plugs for your kids? My 5 year old son has issues getting his cheek properly on the rifle and lining the peep sights up because of the ear protection.

I've seen kid sized ear plugs before at big box stores, might be sort of hard to find though. I can't give you a particular recommendation but I bet you could find something online.

Amazon--I was just shopping for small earplugs for myself. In spite of my 6'2" height and size 13 feet I have small ear canals (doc told me that at boot when I was issued earplugs). All kinds of options out there.
