Mossberg 535 Shooting high
I took my new turkey shotgun out to pattern it today and it was approximately a foot high at 30 yards. I ran out of adjustment and it's still quite high. I am pretty sure I will need to buy some after market sights before the season. Any advice? Any decent after market sights for the Mossberg 535?
On a brighter note, the gun has a really nice group! I was using an extra full turkey choke with Federal Premium Turkey loads(3.5" Mag Shok with Flitecontrol Wad). What a combination! Talk about Power! Hurts a little but will get the job more than done when I get it sighted in.
Thanks, Isaac

You said that you ran out of adjustment...are you using a scope? or reddot? There is a ton of sights on the market. I tend to stay away from the magnetic ones. I would want something that attaches securely to the rib

Anyone have any experience with this sight or one that is similar? This is kind of what I'm looking for

Different shot shells will perform differently out of the same shotgun. You can try other ammo to see if it will shoot better than 1ft high at 30 yards.

Re: Mossberg 535 Shooting high
Thanks for the insight. I tried a few different loads and they all shot pretty high. Unfortunately I cant get the stock sights to adjust appropriately, so I don't think the ammo is the problem. Even with low brass it is hitting 8 to 10 inches high. If it were an inch or 2 I could make it work, but this is a bit much. I ended up ordering Truglo Pro-Series Magnum Gobble-Dot Sight at my local sporting goods store. He said they will be here by Wednesday of next week. Cutting it a little too close for comfort! I guess I should have bought a gun earlier in the year to have more time to prepare. I never would have thought a reputable brand like Mossberg would have a problem like this. I wish it were just me with this problem, but I did some research to find that this is an ongoing unresolved issue. At least the gun patterns like a champ! I'm sure once I have the after market sight sighted in that I will be content.

Re: Mossberg 535 Shooting high
Not a scope or a red dot. It was a used gun, but I think they were stock sights. I tried adjusting them but I did not have any success. Are they adjustable or not? Regardless, I was hitting a foot high and couldn't fix the problem so I ended up buying some after market sights. Hopefully that solves the problem.

Re: Mossberg 535 Shooting high
I got some adjustable sights made by Truglow and they did the trick!
