Re: RECOMMENDED STEEL FRAME PISTOLS ?
I carry a CZ P07 and find it easy and comfortable to carry. Perhaps a steel framed CZ in similar size would be equally pleasant. I do like 1911 for carry also, a commander size is awfully nice. The steel frame won't do much for a squib load though...
For a pocket sized gun I like the RM380 that is aluminum frame with steel slide.
It is very hard to beat S&W gen 3 guns for anything - they are almost without flaw and they make a couple nice sized carry guns.

Re: RECOMMENDED STEEL FRAME PISTOLS ?
CZ P-01, 75 Compact, RAMI, anything CZ. It's all good.
Otherwise, I'd go with something like a Sig 229.I'm only here for the wood c-rings.

The Beretta 92 "compact" is still on the big side IMO.

Re: RECOMMENDED STEEL FRAME PISTOLS ?
If you want a much smaller much easier to carry all steel pistol there's always the Sig 938, Springfield EMP, and the Kimber Micro 9 which all get excellent ratings. I would stay far away from the Kimber Solo regardless of how good a price you might see one.
Then there is just about every revolver made.Join the GOA & save $5.00. https://www.gunowners.org/mac-subs-join-goa.htm

Gov't 1911. I carry one all day every day. If you're concerned with unplanned booms you can even get steel grips.
