18 year old making pistol
So I'm sure by now most of you heard of 80% AR Lowers. I was wondering if it be legal to finish a 80% Glock polymer lower, buy the slide, rest of the pieces, etc. And assemble them at home. I know in PA you can possess a pistol at age 18, but can you make one? Any help is well appreciated.

Re: 18 year old making pistol
Where on earth will you get an 80% glock receiver?
And yes, you can make your own handgun at 18yo. Federal law only regulates FFL transfers, interstate transfers, and private transfers of handguns to those under 18yo. ....and transfers to prohibited persons of course.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515

Re: 18 year old making pistol
So wait is it a no or yes? I know as an 18 year old I can complete an 80% lower, own a pistol (not bought from an ffl), form 1 sbr and suppressor. I have a feeling making the 80% Glock with be legal but just want to make sure before I proceed

Re: 18 year old making pistol
Like I said.....I think you should be OK. Just don't start crying if you have to pay a lawyer to find out the real answer. And don't try and subpoena me to testify in your defense.
Are you really going to trust my answer anyway? Maybe you should take a poll here and print out the results. Then keep a photocopy of the results in your wallet and show it to the cop.

Re: 18 year old making pistol
It is perfectly legal in PA and under federal law for someone 18yo+ to manufacture their own handgun.
But until you are 21yo, you would have to carry openly on foot, and outside of Philly, and absent a state of emergency. Exceptions allowed for unloaded and securely wrapped transporting to the exempted locations in 6106(b).RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515
