Default Need help identifing a couple rifles

Co-worker inherited a pair of rifles and we need a little help identifing what they are, what calibers and estimated value as well...

First up is this one...no visible markings except serial number.

Up next is this rifle which I think is a Krag. It is stamped 1894 Springfield Armory

The owner may be interested in selling these guns or trading for an AR15...

First rifle is a sporterized Jap Type 99, second is a sporterized US Krag.

Not much value between the two; retail $150, MAYBE $200 each retail to the right buyer.

First one looks like a sporterized Type 38 Arisaka.
Second one is a 30-40 Krag, also sporterized.
The Krag now has what appears to be a drilled and tapped receiver for scope base.
No clue on the value, not much being altered so much. But they still may still have usable parts or become project guns to the right buyer.

What they said. Thet aren't worth much because they have been so heavily altered.

Always wanted a 30-40 non-sporterized Krag for a range toy, but the cost of ammo made me think otherwise.

I still want a Krag!! regardless of the ammo cost. I probably wouldn't shoot it much anyways. So many have been sporterized or chopped up it's hard to tell whats correct and what is not unless you really really do your homework. I'd like to find one for a good price(sub $800) some day that at least "looks the part" of the original battle rifle.

    I shoot 30-40 Krag for about .50 a round.

Those poor rifles make me sad.
