Current AR-15 prices- All I can say is WOW!
There have been some posts on dropping AR prices but I recently saw an ad that drives this message home. A local gunshop (Tanners) had brand new Del-Ton Sport carbines on sale for $350! Say what you want about Del-ton or a "sport" models but at $350 all I can say is WOW!
Before anyone gets too excited they are already gone (they had 50). But I do think this is a taste of things to come.

Re: Current AR-15 prices- All I can say is WOW!
Some of you don't watch the "Deals" thread, I see.
Yes, there has never been a better time to buy or build.
I don't see at as a sign of things to come though - it's "here" and I don't expect it to get any better.
How long will this last? Who knows, but I wouldn't put off buying on the expectation that prices will continue to drop, or stay this low for an extended period of time.
The excess surplus of in stock items is the reason prices are low. Vendors bought massive amounts of inventory expecting a windfall when the election results drove people running to buy guns.
Clearly that didn't happen and now they need to get rid of it.
Once it's gone, I don't suspect the deals will be as jaw dropping as what we are currently seeing.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

I don't see AR prices getting much lower, I think the same thing about ammo too.
Maybe certain models and calibers, and other overpriced guns, but I think now is the best time to stock up for leaner times.
I wish I had some extra disposable income.

I do look at the deals thread but I never saw a complete $350 AR. Maybe $400 on special from a distributor. Then you add in shipping and a transfer and that is the real price you pay.
I was talking about going to a store and walking out with a $350 (plus tax and a few dollars for the background check) AR-15.

Just wait six months. I think it will get better.

Colt and above will always hold near their price....Delton, Anderson, PSA...junk is always junk no matter what the price. Why do you think they are dumping them at such low prices?
