Weapon Lights Around $100
I need suggestions for a weapon light around $100. Using it on a semi-auto 12 gauge shotgun. It will be rail mounted.

I regularly see the Stream light TLR1, and even TLR1-HL for sale around $100. I think they're hard to beat for the price, from a PA based company too.

200 is MORE than sufficient. It's actually more than what's needed. Around 100 lumens or so is the minimum really.... It's very easy to get caught up in the lumens wagon and get too much light.
I tried running a night shoot with my EDC flashlight once, at full power (1000 lumens), it was fairly counter productive.

I think my old school Insight Technologies light is 90 lumens and it's bright enough - especially for in the house.
I like the fact that it also has a separate, single red LED that just casts a red glow in a room. Enough to see everything, but not blinding like a white light.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

I have the Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount 1 light. I am really happy with it.

ProTac will do on a budget.
There are better lights out there, but it will do for the money.
Years ago 60 lumens was average and adequate.
Anything in the 100 lumens range is fine.
Remember the higher the lumens the faster you will drain your batteries.
And as was already mentioned, too much light can be self defeating in many cases. How can you have any cookies if you don't drink your milk?
