    Default 1911 Sights

Bought a Springfield 1911 MC operator a few months ago. I like the gun so far, but I would like some better sights. The Sig X-Ray sights on my P226 Legion are my favorite, but they don't make those for a 1911 yet.

What is everyone's recommendation for a high vis front sight with blacked out rear for a 1911?

My favorite for all my 1911s are plain black rear & gold bead front.

Not really. The Sig X-Ray are tritium with a bright green around them. It really grabs the eye for the front sight. Would like something like that.

The only sights I use are the TruGlo TFX. Doesn't matter if it's a range or carry pistol they work in any situation. Your not getting a blacked out rear with them though but they pop like no body's business.

You can probably find them cheaper on Amazon.

Tritium and fiber optic and like I said they can be found about $25-$30.00 cheaper on Amazon.

Here's the TFX without the orange ring for $107.

I have these on my Glock and I love them:

The front sight is narrow and it allows a lot of light through. Great for up close, quick shots.
